Dr. Joel Cortés is a graduate of Columbia University, where he earned his dental degree. He chose to pursue a residency in general practice at Staten Island University Hospital. He currently works at Comfort Dental Center and brings over 22 years of experience to his practice. Dr. Cortés is a full-service family dentist, covering all aspects of general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, implants, orthodontics, sleep apnea treatments, and orofacial surgeries. He is also a dental pain specialist and serves the communities of Reseda, North Hollywood, and Valencia, CA. He is fluent in both English as well as Spanish and was in the US Army Reserve from 2002-2010. Dr. Cortés was honorably discharged as a Major. Dr. Cortés believes in providing comprehensive health care services to his patients in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. He strives to educate his patients as he works with them to achieve the best oral health possible.
